Bestest Blog Backfires

Hey what's up with Bobby Griffiths of "Bestest Blog of All Time"? I went to check out his site and this is what I found:

Even the .com address doesn't lead anywhere. Hmm, I will say that I met many interesting bloggers through his site - but what now? Do we all need to band together and work a Return to Sender spell to get Bobby to refund our money? I sent him regular donations to keep my blogs in his top 100 listings. I heard his interview on Dr. Blogstein radio and it sounded like Bobby just needed some time and he was going to be back up and running. Well, certainly looks like he's running... Bobby's pulled a disappearing act!

While I'm on the subject, do you all know how to become invisible? Anoint a bloodstone with heliotrope oil and carry it in the left pocket. But PLEASE BE CAREFUL when crossing the street! Invisible people get run over every day!

Well, if Bobby is running a scam, undoubtedly, his karma will catch up with him - if it hasn't already! I guess it's time to take his link off my blogs. I know, Witch Dr. is a bit slow and this is already old news but still I thought it worth a mention. Griffiths should keep the site up just for the community of links. Or he should refund all the monies sent to him to keep those links up. And I've told him as much. 'Nuff said.

Valentine's Day is coming up and I really like this guy. I read a spell in a book that said I could create a potion and mix it into his drink so that he will fall in love with me. Right now we are just friends and he is well, kind of flirting with this other girl in our class. What should I do? And do you think that love potion thing will work?

As they say, all's fair in love and war but it's also best to play by the karmic rules of the game. These spells in which a drink or food is SPIKED are very common. In the old days, we even used to SPIKE a walkway or threshold by sprinkling powders that someone would walk across. But post 9/11 and the Anthrax scare, these things are not a good idea anymore. Also by SPIKING a drink with a love potion, you risk your magick backfiring. Suppose he doesn't drink it but passes it to someone else who you think is just absolutely retched! Yuck! Also, if he is strong willed, he may react adversely and begin to hate you. The best type of love magick is performed upon oneself. Here is an easy example: Take a bath in fresh oranges and mint leaves to increase your romantic allure. Or make a Love Shake in the blender by adding: 1/2 cup of milk, cup of spring water, 6 strawberries, a cored apple, three drops of vanilla extract, and crushed almonds. Drink this potion to attract attention from the person you desire and to knock out all competition. Another great spell is to take a bite from an apple and then offer it to the one your admire. If s/he takes a bite, it is a good sign that s/he will be yours. If the spell is sealed with a kiss within 24 hours, the love will be sure to last. Now you see, with this spell, you are giving your friend free will and free choice to accept or decline your offer of love.

I am so sorry to hear of your negative experience. You must be very careful about the psychics you entrust with your soul. Only last month, I found myself giving a second opinion to a very distraught woman who had a negative experience just as you describe. I was working a party and there was another psychic across the room who told her that someone in her family would get cancer or have a heart attack soon. This information had come completely unsolicited. Needless to say, I was pissed as hell, at having to undo this wrong. Firstly, because I was now going to have to look into an area that this woman did not want to see to begin with. And mostly, because it had been a long night, and now I was off the clock, doing this on my own time and I wanted to rest and go home! After reluctantly laying the cards, I saw asthma or emphysema but I also saw that this was a known condition of someone she loved and was not likely to get better or worse any time soon. She confirmed that her father had emphysema, and this reading seemed to put her mind at rest.

I have a very strong feeling about ethics and I caution you to beware of those practicing psychic manipulation. A true psychic is bound by oath to be RESPONSIBLE in how s/he disseminates information. It must be useful and helpful to the questioner and MORE IMPORTANTLY, as Witches, we must ask supernal permission for the prophecies. a) He charged for his lectures and ceremonies and
b) He was a trust fund baby!
So you know what - I don't want to even hear about it! I personally think it is fair for a psychic or any other spiritual counselor to charge a fee. However, they must be up front about the money that is being charged with no hidden clauses. (Beware the $2 reading from the gypsy storefront that ends up costing you your life savings!)

In ancient times, tribal communities took very good care of their shamans. They provided the holy ones among them with the best of the hunt and the harvest, luxury teepees and condo caves. Monks are given monestaries and modern day Rabbis usually have a very nice house included with their salaries. Psychics, like everybody else, have to eat! They need food and they need shelter and money is no more than a form of energy which is exchanged for other kinds of energy. Through money, the psychic can pay the bills and be nurtured, and therefore be free to do his or her work without stress.

Now one last thing, Miss V, and I know this is not very Zen of me, but I just need to play the Devil's Advocate here. Who told you that souls have no price?! Honey, that is absolutely not true! Just ask Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves. And what's this business about the Creator never charged a soul at birth (or before creation)? Have you checked out the prices for AI, ART, IVF, ZIFT, AND GIFT? None of that's a gift girl, it's damn expensive! Fertility is a booming business, which reminds me, I've got a whopper of a spell for conception and it'll cost you next to nothing in comparison...
