Blue Moon Miracle Magick Circle

You have just entered the magick circle where all power and possibility exist and you are now duly purified. Make a wish in the comments section and then repeat the chant below 3x.
Now go out and look at the glorious light of the Blue Moon!
Blessed Be!

Darksome night and shining moon,
East, then South, then West, then North;
Hearken to the Witches' Rune-
Here we come to call ye forth!
Earth and water, air and fire,
Wand and pentacle and sword,
Work ye unto our desire,
Hearken ye unto our work!
Cords and censer, scourge and knife,
Powers of the Witch's blade-
Waken all ye into life,
Come ye as the charm is made!

Queen of heaven, queen of hell,
O Great and Horned hunter of the nights,
Join us as we work this spell:
All acts of love and pleasure are Her rites.

White for birth, and red for life.
And black for all the worlds between,
Cauldron, censor, scourge and knife
All celebrate the triple queen.

By power of the land and sea,
By light and might of this blue moon,
As I do will, so mote it be,
Goddess grant my miracle soon.

*For those new to the blog*
You've heard the expression: "Once in a Blue Moon". The Blue Moon is rare and occurs every 2 to 4 years. It is the second full moon of the month. This year we had a full moon in Scorpio on May 2nd. The Blue Moon is tonight (May 31) in Sagittarius. The Blue Moon is a time for miracles. If you need one in any area of your life, now is the time to ask for it. Sagittarius moon is also a time for optimism, hope, progression, adventure, building, change, miracles, travel, truth, good fortune, publishing, spirituality, and education. When the moon is in Sag, we should aim high and and trust that we will hit our target or mark. Please leave your wish in the comments section and then read the chant. Follow up by going out to gaze at the Blue Moon and reaffirm your wish. This circle will be open for wishes until June 2 2007. Blessed be and May your wishes for miracles come true. So Mote it Be!

Void of Course

Hi lexa,

Ok so I really goofed. I'd been so focused on something in regards to
getting spell stuff together and I had it all planned out. Then I go and
get the spell together, feeling very powerful and then let it be only to
discover five minutes later the freakin moon has been void of course since
1:11pm 10:11am my time. OMG have I totally gone and screwed myself? What
do I do? In all my years doing spells I have never forgotten to check the
moon phase. Oi! Any advice you can offer me and anyone else who might have
goofed up and done something like this. Oh I feel like Aunt Clara on
Bewitched being all absent minded and all. Thanks for anything you can tell
me Lexa!

Signed

This Generations Clara (at least I feel like it)

Dear Clara
Well, this is not so good but certainly not the end of the world. For those of you who are not familiar with this issue, the moon changes signs every 1 to 2 1/2 days. Sometimes it floats in kind of a nowhere zone before entering into the next zodiac sign. This is the void of course period. It's kind of like the stretch of highway between two important exits. When you work a spell during a void of course moon, your magick may be weaker or less focused than had you waited to do the spell when the moon transited firmly into the next sign. It may also be an indication that you have some ambivalence about the wish you made. Often though, the spell will just kick in more powerfully once the moon sets it's course. I have seen similar effects while working Mercury magick while the planet is retrograde. It seems to have no effect, but then once Mercury goes Direct, the spell kicks in. You might wish to reaffirm your spell tomorrow on the Blue Moon just for good measure. In my opinion, a void of course moon is a minor setback that can easily be overcome. What you want to watch out for are the eclipses. Spells conjured during an eclipse can be dangerous and will often backfire. So don't sweat it and just take some extra time tomorrow night to set your magick back on it's proper course.
blessed be

golf gods [ppp]

I'm not much of a golfer but my brother just loved the sport and I'm a huge fan of Tiger Woods. As a tango dancer, I know that when I travel, I look for the great milongas (tango parties) in the cities I plan to visit. I know that serious golfers do the same. CoastalGolfaway.com offers the best in coastal myrtle beach golf vacation packages, tee times and accommodations. They have golf vacation packages, tee times and accommodations and it sounds like a wonderful place for golfers to go on holiday. Not only are there plenty of sites to see in Myrtle Beach, but you'll have the best of golfing pleasure near by.

Miracles of Healing

Giosun asks...

What is the best way to ask for healing of a child afflicted with Autism? I'd like to take advantage of this blue moon for my sweet little daughter Stella.

Dear G
The Blue Moon is a time for miracles and it is a great time to ask for a major breakthrough in understanding, treating, and even curing autism. There is so much that is still unknown about this affliction. As for Stella, you should also request for specific issues of hers to be resolved. The best way to approach this is to say a heartfelt prayer to the Goddess in your own words and even better if you speak it under the light of the Blue Moon. Best of luck and I'll be praying along with you for a miracle for Stella and all the other children affected with autism.

healing goddesses [PPP]

I've blogged alot about this topic before and I'll continue to do so as drug addiction is a major negative force in our society. Here's a drug treatment program with a new twist. The Orchid Recovery Center is just for women and they are groundbreaking in their recovery program for alcohol and drug addiction. Women of all ages are accepted and the environment is positive and healing. They also offer free private consultations over the phone and their prices are competitive and cheaper than other private recovery clinics. If you or a loved one you know has an alcohol or drug problem, you might want to check this out and get some help!

Summer of Love Spell

Hi Lexa,
I really need your help. I'm in love with my bestfriend but he likes this other girl. How can I get him to love me back. I know I should be patient and wait for him to realize that I'm the one, but I want this to be a summer of love.
Please help!
Love Sick

Dear LS
Lucky for you, the Blue Moon is coming up on May 31st. The Blue Moon is the second full moon that occurs in the same month. In May 2007, we had a full moon on May 2 and the Blue moon will occur on May 31. The Blue Moons are rare and occur about every 2 to 3 years. Witches believe they are a time for MIRACLES! The Moon will also be in Sagittarius and that is a very good sign for change of partners. Make sure to go out and gaze at the Blue Moon and ask the Goddess of Love to send you a miracle to make him notice you in that special way. You might also want to ask that your summer of love be fulfilled with him or a partner better suited to you. This is often the best way to approach love magick and creates a kind of loop pole against being manipulative. We cannot force another to love us but we can do our best to gain the attentions and affections of the ones we admire. If they don't return our love, well then, we can just move on to a bigger and better love. Remember, when it comes down to it, unrequited love isn't much fun at all! So give it your best shot but leave things open just in case the universe has someone even better in store for you. Oh, and remember that along with saying your prayer (or lighting a pink candle) on the blue moon, you'll also want to flirt like crazy with your best friend. Magick always works best when coupled with real life actions and communications. Best of luck and love!
Blessings
Lexa

P.S. readers - don't forget that I will be casting another blog circle for the Blue Moon. So think about the miracles you need in your lives and come back and visit the circle on the 31st.
Blessed Be.

Body Graffiti

Lexa,

I was wondering about getting a tattoo. But my mom has an issue with me if I get a tattoo. I have been thinking about getting a tattoo of my astrological chart on my left side. What do u think about tattoos? I would really like to know your opinion.
-Anonymous

Hi A
thanks for your question. You are probably going to be disappointed to find out that I agree with your Mom! Why get a tattoo? And of all things, your astro chart? Seems kind of redundant. You already are your chart and so much more! I say this because your chart progresses and moves as you grow and change, so ultimately, the birth chart is only a reflection of your history and not of your development.

I know that many pagans consider tattooing sacred and it is a big part of many ancient initiation rites. I have a differing opinion. In my eyes, the body is our sacred temple and a tattoo is a desecration of that sacred space. I also had a friend who died from ink poisoning and an infection resulting from a tattoo. So PLEASE BE CAREFUL and choose a safe and licensed person to give you a tattoo if you decide to do it. But my advice is to listen to the wisdom of your mother! Maybe you can find a middle ground and get a henna tattoo. Now that's my idea of fun! Plus you won't get trapped if you change your mind about the image you want. As a Gemini, I can't even imagine choosing one image to live with my whole life. And I wouldn't want to end up with my whole body covered in tattoos. You know this process can be addictive. Also, with henna tattoos, you could update your chart as it progresses over the years. Think about it.
blessed be

Your Body is the Temple of Your Soul

I've blogged about this before and I'll blog about it again. If you've got an addiction problem, please get help from a drug rehab. I lost one of my best buddies to heroin and I've seen several people destroy their lives with alcohol and cocaine addictions. Smoking pot is BOOOORING! Yes - that's my honest opinion and don't even get me started on all the pharmaceutical addictions going on these days. The goddess wants us drug free. Our bodies are sacred temples and we must keep them healthy and pure. One of the best features of this site is their toll free number: 1 800 - NO - DRUGS. Call if you need help.

Here is the power of the ocean waters to bring peace to our planet and grant us a better flow. May they bestow treasure, fertility, abundance, and love upon you.

Full Moon in Scorpio

Dear Priestess
I understand that tonight is a full moon. And I read that the moon will be in Scorpio. What is the actual significance of this and how is full moon in Scorpio different from other full moons?
thank you and blessings
Paul

Dear Paul
This full moon in Scorpio offers us an opportunity for change, rejuvenation, healing, and rebirth. Scorpio is the sign of sex and regeneration. The full moon in May is also called the Flower Moon and gives us an opportunity to fully bloom and open ourselves to reaching our full potential. This moon is also the Buddha Purnima moon and is one of the most sacred days in the Buddhist calendar. On this full moon, Buddha was born, attained enlightenment, and entered Nirvana after he died. True to the sign of Scorpio, we see the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. This full moon invites us to turn our lives around. To shed an old skin. To release an old negative pattern to make room for more positive energy. Remember on this day that it is never too late to broaden your horizons or to escape any narrow confines of the soul. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, on this night, those willing to make the journey through a personal or collective abyss, will find safe passage and a new dawn on the other side. Focus on change and personal growth and you will receive guidance on how to proceed.
blessed be and happy full moon
