Guidelines for Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

On August 28th, we will have a full moon in Pisces. It will also be the second total eclipse of the moon to occur in 2007. Witches believe that one should approach the lunar eclipe with caution and respect. It is a time for meditation and reflection and one will do best to seek wisdom and understanding during this influence. Although the Goddess instructs us that the full moon is the time of boons, it is advised to refrain from working magick for material gain during the eclipse. If you need prosperity, success, love, or some other wonderful wish, work your magick now. Have your spell, candle, chant, etc... complete by the 27th and use the actual day of the full moon (the 28th) for seeking the guidance and protection you need. And if you are in the right area, enjoy the view!

The beginning of the eclipse will be visible in North America, South America (except for most eastern part), Antarctica except for Enderby Land, New Zealand, eastern Australia, the extreme north east of Asia, the Pacific Ocean, and western Atlantic Ocean. The end of the eclipse will be viible in Australia, New Zealand, Australia, most of Antarctica except Queen Maud Land, Indonesia, easter Asia, western North America, Pacific Ocean, and southeastern Indian Ocean.

The Blue Moon is a time for miracles and it is a great time to ask for a major breakthrough in understanding, treating, and even curing autism. There is so much that is still unknown about this affliction. As for Stella, you should also request for specific issues of hers to be resolved. The best way to approach this is to say a heartfelt prayer to the Goddess in your own words and even better if you speak it under the light of the Blue Moon. Best of luck and I'll be praying along with you for a miracle for Stella and all the other children affected with autism.

Lucky for you, the Blue Moon is coming up on May 31st. The Blue Moon is the second full moon that occurs in the same month. In May 2007, we had a full moon on May 2 and the Blue moon will occur on May 31. The Blue Moons are rare and occur about every 2 to 3 years. Witches believe they are a time for MIRACLES! The Moon will also be in Sagittarius and that is a very good sign for change of partners. Make sure to go out and gaze at the Blue Moon and ask the Goddess of Love to send you a miracle to make him notice you in that special way. You might also want to ask that your summer of love be fulfilled with him or a partner better suited to you. This is often the best way to approach love magick and creates a kind of loop pole against being manipulative. We cannot force another to love us but we can do our best to gain the attentions and affections of the ones we admire. If they don't return our love, well then, we can just move on to a bigger and better love. Remember, when it comes down to it, unrequited love isn't much fun at all! So give it your best shot but leave things open just in case the universe has someone even better in store for you. Oh, and remember that along with saying your prayer (or lighting a pink candle) on the blue moon, you'll also want to flirt like crazy with your best friend. This full moon in Scorpio offers us an opportunity for change, rejuvenation, healing, and rebirth. Scorpio is the sign of sex and regeneration. The full moon in May is also called the Flower Moon and gives us an opportunity to fully bloom and open ourselves to reaching our full potential. This moon is also the Buddha Purnima moon and is one of the most sacred days in the Buddhist calendar. On this full moon, Buddha was born, attained enlightenment, and entered Nirvana after he died. True to the sign of Scorpio, we see the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. This full moon invites us to turn our lives around. To shed an old skin. To release an old negative pattern to make room for more positive energy. Remember on this day that it is never too late to broaden your horizons or to escape any narrow confines of the soul. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, on this night, those willing to make the journey through a personal or collective abyss, will find safe passage and a new dawn on the other side. Whether selling a home in Florida, Rome, or Dubai, one should always petition the oldest goddess of the hearth, Hestia or Vesta. The best way to summon her and ask for Her blessing is through the element of fire. I prepare handmade custom designed candles that are dedicated to Hestia. These candles contain prayers inviting Her in to bless the home or property, along with magick seals, sacred oils, and herbs designed for the specific requests of the petitioner (such as buying or selling of properties).

The property should also be consecrated, cleansed, and blessed in order to remove any negative energies or blocks and to swiftly attract a buyer. One of the simplist (yet powerful) ways to do this is to place equal amounts of fresh ginger, cinnamon sticks, and fresh basil, and bay leaves into a double boiler and steam until the space is filled with the aroma. You can also perform the dry method by pulverizing a teaspoon each of dried ginger, basil and bay leaves and mixing with equal amount of cinnamon powder. Sprinkle this blend around the property. Begin at the front door and move in a clockwise direction in a complete circle until you return to the front door. The actual Witches' New Year is celebrated on Oct 31/Nov 1, so there aren't any official spells in the Book of Shadows for the Secular New Year although it is said that wearing yellow or burning a yellow candle on New Years' Day brings lots of good luck. If you want to spice up your life this year, add cinnamon and/or curry to your diet. These two work quickly to bring excitement and energy into life.
